An Intro to Voice Casting for English Dubs

In this casting workshop, actors will be introduced to the basic principles of English dubbing with a particular focus on the casting process and what casting is looking for from actors when they submit auditions. This workshop will be run by Dorit Simone who has cast a number of English dubs including Money Heist, Lupin and the recent Netflix hits Kill Boksoon and Blood & Gold.
Dorit Simone is the founder of DS Casting Agency. She is a film and television casting specialist with an expertise in casting actors for English dubs of foreign films and series. Dorit has worked on a number of projects with leading industry streamers and creators including Netflix, Disney, Amazon and Warner Brothers. Some of her credits include Money Heist, Fauda, The Life Ahead, Summit of the Gods, Legends of Destruction and Lupin. She has had the privilege of working with directors such as David Zellner, Ayelet Zurer, Joe Lynch, Rachel Raimist, and Edoardo Ponti.
Dorit comes from a background in theater studies and studied at NYU, Stella Adler, Oxford University and many others. Her past experiences with acting, directing and writing have all helped her understand both the directors' vision and the actors' process when casting a project.
In addition to casting, Dorit is also a talent manager and currently represents the original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter.
